Miners Get Ready To Level Up

At levels 250-300, you will learn to mine Thorium also Dark Iron. Go to Un’Goro Crater, the Eastern and Western Plaguelands and The Burning Steppes where you can locateThorium and Dark Iron as well as Mithril.
Go and mine in Outland at levels 300-325. Become a Master Miner by visiting your Horde trainer in Thallmar while the Alliance trainer in Honor Hold. Go to Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh then look for Fel Iron until level 325.

Continue to find Fel Iron until level 330 in Nagrand then at level 365, mine Adamantite. Go also to Blade’s Edge Mountains, not only in Nagrand, and find more Fel Iron.

#1 Sarah Palin: Due to John McCain’s choice of Palin as his VP candidate during the most recent presidential election she may currently be the most famous Sarah in the world. And with it looking like she may try to run for President herself in 2012 that’s not likely to change anytime soon.

Palin was a bad joke to many Americans because of her obvious lack of experience and intellectual prowess but among the “stupid is good” crowd that makes up the core of the GOP she was and is quite popular. Basically she’s very popular among those who still think that George W. Bush was a great President!

Luckily for the rest of the country the amount of people who hold this view is not nearly as high as it used to be and it would take a miracle (or a tragedy depending your point of view) for her to get elected as President of the United States in 2012.

#2 Sarah Silverman: Yes the character she plays in her TV shows and in her movies is an act. She’s not really like that. While Ms. Silverman’s schtick can get a little old sometimes, overall I find her quite refreshing and very funny. She’s certainly among the best Sarahs in the world in my opinion. It doesn’t hurt that she’s hot.

#3 Sarah Jessica Parker: Parker is most well known for her role in Sex and the City and her excruciatingly annoying commercials. She’s also been in quite a few movies including 1991’s LA Story starring Steve Martin (Martin also wrote the screenplay.) More recently she starred in 2005’s The Family Stone and 2008’s Smart People along with the movie version of Sex and the City.

2009 was the year that e-book readers became wildly popular. Amazon launched both the Kindle 2.0 and the Kindle DX, which created quite a bit of publicity for e-book readers in general and the Kindle reader in particular. Companies like Sony and Barnes and Noble responded with their own readers – the Daily Edition and The Nook – whilst others, such as Apple and Microsoft worked hard to develop their own offerings for release in the near future.

It is very easy, and perfectly understandable, when dealing with what are essentially consumer electronics devices, to focus on the technical aspects of the hardware involved. The Amazon Kindle has wireless connectivity, the Nook has a color screen, Sony’s Daily Edition lets you lend books to your friends – and so on.

Nevertheless, it’s probably worth considering that e-book readers could very well be the biggest thing to happen to both reading and publishing since Gutenberg invented the printing press in 1440. The introduction of the printing press enabled books to be produced in large numbers using paper instead of vellum or parchment. It slashed the cost of book production and made books affordable for all.

Since that time, there have been very few actual changes in the way that books are read. Of course, there have been changes in printing technology – computers and word processing software have made the already existing process more cost effective and efficient. However, the end result has been much the same. We sit and read books which consist of text printed on paper.

And the consequence of the unchanging end product also restricts publishers. A physical product is produced – at some expense – which also needs to be delivered, either to the point of sale or by direct mail to the customer’s home.

E-book readers do not just represent a way of carrying out the existing process more efficiently. They change the rules completely, both for publishers and readers. In the first place, there is no physical product. This means that there is less consumption of materials. No paper, ink, chemicals, bindings etc. And with no physical product, there are no delivery costs.

This means that e-books are not only cheaper to publish and deliver, but that they are – even considering the materials used in the e-book readers themselves – more environmentally friendly.

It also means that publishers have more options available to them in order to market both books and authors. For example, if a publisher wants to highlight a particular author, then they can offer a selection of their titles at very low prices – or completely free – for a short period of time. Another tactic which is becoming increasingly popular is to make the first title in a series of books available free, hoping that the reader will purchase subsequent titles or perhaps other books by the same author. Whilst this would not be impossible with a conventional print run, it would be a much riskier and more costly undertaking.

On the Amazon website there are a large number of free Kindle books on offer. The first chapter of all Kindle books is available as a free download. Prospective readers can try before they buy. Readers may be encouraged to experiment a little more and to sample new authors that they would otherwise have overlooked.

The strong focus on the new, sexy, hardware is perfectly understandable. In the long term, the increased marketing opportunities and the ease of access afforded to readers will be what makes the difference in the way books are both published and read in future.

Make sure to check out the demos of each brand before you buy this product as the sound can differ slightly from unit to unit.
