Who hasn’t heard of the Jonas Brothers? Whether you’re at a cartoon watching age and spend your free time watching the Disney Channel or you’re a Broadway aficionado, you’ve got to be familiar with this band made up of three brothers - Nick, Joe and Kevin. Known to have been in the spot light since an early age, the brothers have made the most of it by exploring both their musical as well as their acting talents.

It’s About Time, their first album as a boy band was released in 2005. The brothers started out on their first promo tour to promote their album and deliver live performances to ecstatic fans. Jonas Brothers’ Concerts kicked off for the first time ever on the 5th of November, 2005 and consisted of just a few dates, ending on the 17th of December. The shows were primarily based in and around their homestate. Since then though, Jonas Brothers have been on tour for longer durations and have covered many more regions of the US.

Since that first promo tour, the band of brothers have had five successful tours - the Jonas Brothers American Club Tour, the Marvelous Party Tour, the Best of Both Worlds Tour, the Look Me in the Eyes Tour and the Burning Up Tour. Their musical success was given a boost by their original Disney flick Camp Rock which was premiered on the Disney Channel in summer last year. It went on to become the second most viewed DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) after High School Musical 2.

Boosted by their successful tours and album sales - over 8 million across the planet - the Jonas Brothers started preparations for their World Tour which is now in progress. The Jonas Brothers started off their world tour with the South American leg on the’th of May. The concert was in Peru. It’s a multi continental tour that will cover North America, South America and France, ending in late November.

Jonas Brothers’ tickets have been a big hit with teenagers and youngsters on all continents buying them up as soon as they can. Adam Lambert Concert draws Anti-Gay Group Protest

Monday, July 20th, 2009

A group of protesters converged outside an American Idol concert, being held in San Jose, California, this past Sunday. The purpose of their demonstration was to let all there be known, homosexuals are going to hell. The group is from a controversial and radical church located in Topeka Kansas. The Westboro Baptist Church, who’s website is God Hates Fags.com, talk about their mission to “hate” on their webpage……

Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and is therefore as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 41,002 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. In response, America bombed WBC & WBC on 8-2-2008. God is America’s enemy: 5,058 dead soldiers; crashing economy. America crossed the line on June 26, 2003, when the Supreme Court (the conscience of the nation) ruled in Lawrence v. Texas that we must respect sodomy. WBC believes her gospel message to be this world’s last hope. read more about WBC

One of Lambert’s fellow American Idol friends was also preforming during the protest outside the concert. StarPulse.com has released the following…….Sarver wrote on his Twitter.com page, “Funny how people think it’s a good idea to mess with a big Texan and his AI (American Idol) family. Adam is just fine, shakes it off and so should we. We are together in this thing. You mess with one you mess with all ten. We are strong and we are 1. For those outside protesting I say do not judge less ye be judged yourself. Guys don’t mind these people, we are a strong family.”

Disappointment is what I feel towards the Westboro Baptist Church. Their website is dedicated to nothing more then hate. Isn’t the purpose of a church to spread love and understanding, and proclaim Jesus, and love their fellow man? This is not what their web site promotes. They travel all over the United States proclaiming “HATE” in Gods name. I don’t know about their “god”, but my God does not hate and would never tell his “children” to go out and preach for the devil

Now I’m sure there are many more of these radical organizations out there using God as the reason for their actions. The world is full uneducated, ignorant bigots, who will always use hate to hurt others because of their personal beliefs and/or lifestyle choices. These people are out there crusading on a religious campaign and breeding hate in our society. This ideal, that hate can consume a person or a group, has been seen in history on more then a few occasions.

The point I want to make is that we do live in America, and we do have a right to express our opinion. Even when our views and religious beliefs don’t agree with everyone elses. We are all entitled to freedom, so while we might not agree with churches like this, they will still exist. It is our job to inform others that hate is not the way to win. It is not the way to get your views across. It is not the way we should raise our children. Stand up, let your views be known, and tell people like this that hate is not right, that hate is not acceptable. Stand up and proclaim that you will refuse to hate and refuse to let hate dwell in your life. This is America, and we have the right to be free. Free from hate

Billy and Elton: One Awesome Show

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

The concert of a lifetime comes, well — once in a lifetime. To that end, it would be tantamount to a crime to not get the word out that as you are reading this little bit of hullabaloo, Elton John and Billy Joel are on the same ticket and rocking in the free world. That’s right — on the same bill and even joining forces for some killer encores. Even if you are not a huge fan of what is now called “classic rock” you will definitely enjoy this audio and visual extravaganza.

The summer is in full swing and as the nights get longer, the rocking gets louder. Behold, the rock gods are on the loose and Saturday night is all right for high-five-ing. If there was any doubt, you can be sure these men have not faded softly into middle-aged rock flaccidity. No sir. Billy and Elton are in fine form and belting them out better than ever. Just check out your local arena and feel the power.

Wait, is it already the Fourth of July? Kind of — but what you are witnessing is Billy and Elton blasting the roof off of Wrigley Field. Not only are you guaranteed to have the tuna salad rocked out of you, but never forget these giants bring with them a formidable pyrotechnics display. That’s the kind of combined firepower legendary concerts are made of. Not since chocolate and peanut butter has there been a better combining of forces.

This is some kind of cosmic alignment! How often do two rock gods jump on the same ticket? The Rocket Man meets the Piano Man. Forget about it. All the major cities are on the slate for these rock and roll generals as they bring in the noise to North America. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event. Don’t disappoint your grandchildren, instead give them a great story and book your tickets.

You can wait until the last minute and hit up the scalpers for tickets five-times their worth, or you can book online, securely and worry about something more important — like finding a good parking spot. You would be better off commuting, if possible. Either way, without a set of sweet tickets there’s no point to even showing up. Get you tickets and get your rock on before the shows all over.
